Which treatment is right for you?

At the Almere Abortion Clinic, we offer two types of procedures for terminating pregnancies up to 13 weeks. Which procedure is right for you depends on how far along you are in your pregnancy. The ultrasound performed at the clinic is always the deciding factor in determining which procedure is possible.

It’s important to prepare thoroughly. Read up on the treatment that’s right for your situation and bring the necessary documents and items with you to the clinic. This will depend on the treatment you’ve chosen. Children are not permitted, so please arrange childcare in advance.

Assessment & Intake

When you arrive at our clinic, we’ll first perform an ultrasound to determine how far along you are in your pregnancy. This will be followed by an initial consultation with a doctor or nurse. We’ll discuss your decision, your health, and which treatment is best for you.

You can count on us even after your treatment. We’ll provide you with clear instructions regarding recovery, bleeding, and when to contact us. Be sure to schedule a follow-up appointment after 3 weeks, either with us or your primary care physician. We’ll also give you advice on contraception so you can continue to protect yourself effectively.

“The care and support here were truly fantastic—everyone was so friendly and kind. The reception staff, the ultrasound technician, the nurses, the anesthesiologist, and the doctor. Everyone really puts you at ease.”

“I had an incredibly positive experience at this clinic. They really go out of their way to help you, make you feel like they’re taking all the time you need, are very helpful, and everyone who works there is extremely professional. After the treatment, I also had an IUD inserted right away. This was very convenient because they insert it immediately while you’re still asleep (under light sedation). If you’re looking for a clinic, I would definitely recommend this one in Almere.”
